The classic bird form with outstretched wings in 3 different poses, with gold leaf detail, is depicted in a decorative tile fashion. These blue and red mosaic birds are surrounded with white fragments of tile which are offset with a shade of blue. An individual mosaic bird is on the inside rim of the mug which has an abstract repeat pattern around the top and bottom and replicated down the handle.
