WMF operates one of Germany‘s largest blade forges in Hayingen, Baden-Württemberg. This is where quality blades are manufactured using traditional forging processes. But that‘s not enough. The blades are constantly examined and tested, dissected and tried out until new knives offer outstanding performance. The most recent creation: Performance Cut. Now, where does the power of Performance Cut come from? Firstly, from precision sharpening at an exact and constant angle. Secondly, from a new and innovative refinement of the steel which makes it finer, harder and less prone to corrosion. With this state-of-the-art production technology for forged knives, WMF has achieved a much higher quality: with precision blade grinding and perfect blade withdrawal, the extra-sharp knives do not simply stay sharp for longer. Their longer cutting ability exceeds expectations and the DIN standard 8442-5 by far. Another reason for more fun in the kitchen thanks to a product innovation made in Germany.
